Each individual string in the XS series is treated with D'Addario's protective microcoating, a super-thin surface treatment that effectively repels dirt and sweat. The XS strings last 4 times longer than traditional uncoated strings without affecting the tone and playing feel for which D'Addario's strings have been recognized. D'Addario's unique steel carbon core in combination with a strong anchoring of the ball, through the so-called Fusion Twist technology, gives a string with unrivaled strength and which holds the tuning significantly better than ordinary strings.
