The A10 FM Faded Blue is part of Flight's Anniversary series.
A series of ukuleles that are extra luxurious, even for Flight. These are also not built in their usual factories, but by individual guitar builders. Something that perhaps reflects in the price.
It's perhaps unfair to say that these are cast in the same mold, as each model has its own expression. But at the same time, the same design elements are found in all these models, albeit in different colors, wood types, and styles.
These are not models we usually stock. In the worst case, it can take many weeks before we receive a specimen.
The A10 FM is built from solid flamed maple. Top, back, sides, and neck.
If we stopped there, this would be a fairly ordinary, albeit well-built, ukulele.
But the A10 FM is much more than that.
It is painted and lacquered with great care and precision. A kind of sunburst-like finish, where the lacquer goes from being transparent to deep blue. Both front and back.
Details, such as the bridge, rosette, fretboard, and headstock are in the same style. So, details of very high class.
