The new unit is equipped with a compressor/limiter with individual level and comp controls, a vintage echo with level, tone, and repeat controls - as well as a tap tempo footswitch. In addition, you get an analog/digital reverb, and a boost function with up to 15dB boost.
The Carl Martin Acoustic GiG also features a three-band semi-parametric EQ that Carl Martin has taken from Carl Martin's 3-Band Parametric Pre-Amp, a built-in tuner, a phase shift to combat feedback, and a mute function.
On the GiG's rear panel, you get jack input and output, a balanced XLR output with ground lift, an effects loop, and a 9V DC input with direct DC output.
