The UEW12E-BIF, or Black Ice Flat as Ibanez chose to call it, is a bit more expensive and better made than many of Ibanez's other ukuleles.
Here we have a maple body, an okoume neck, and other details made of purpleheart. A type of wood that has much in common with, for example, rosewood. The ukulele is painted in a color that looks both black and blue-gray depending on the light and surrounding colors. This with matching tuners. It's the small details we like.
