U2
Smiger has a tradition of making relatively simple ukuleles with a good amount of color and shape and as a rule these are aimed, in terms of quality, at beginners and amateurs. But then Smiger has a small segment with ukuleles aimed at enthusiasts and connoisseurs. U2 is one of these.
The U3 model follows in the same vein.
Here we are talking about the bottom and sides of koav wood and the top of spruce.
Around the sound hole sits a rosette which is like a spiral of colours. The lid has an armrest (armrest) that is elegantly painted black, and there are few details that are not polished or otherwise lavished.

Smiger U2 is like a ukulele with extra everything.
The lid is glossy lacquered and has a rosette that is visible from a distance. A rim of glossy, black plastic goes around the lid. All edges here are carefully rounded and polished. On the back there is no border at all, although the edge is nicely rounded.
The chair is made of rosewood and has suitably soft lines and rounded edges. Its legs are of the so-called compensated type.
The neck is lavish. It is not as glossy as the rest of the instrument, which means that the fingers feel like running along it more easily.
Worth mentioning is that the neck is a little extra wide, with plenty of room for the fingers, even for a tenor. For many, this can be as strong and important an argument as the rest of the ukulele.
The fingerboard is made of rosewood with markings on the "regular frets". Usually these markings are centered, but here they are placed to one side. A play with design.
The head is so-called split and on this there are two pairs of really pleasant tuning screws.
The tuning screws, and especially the expensive ones, are an underrated detail on ukuleles.
