Each individual string in a set of XT is treated with D'Addario's protective microcoating. A super-thin surface treatment that effectively repels dirt and sweat. The XT strings last 4 times longer than traditional uncoated strings, without affecting the tone or playing feel that D'Addario's strings have become known for. D'Addario's unique carbon steel core, in combination with a strong anchoring of the ball, so-called Fusion Twist Technology, gives a string with unmatched strength and which holds the tuning considerably better than ordinary strings.
