A page-turner is used to virtually turn pages when viewing sheet music, chords, and similar content on your phone, tablet, etc. The thing about the Duo 500 is that you can do so much more than just this. For example, you can use it to control presentations, slideshows, and similar. To remotely control recording software/DAW. For remote control of video cameras and similar.
Each button is programmable. Hence its flexibility.
This is, of course, not a unique product. There are several airturners that can do similar things. But we think the Airturn Duo 500 does this very well.
