J weekĀ (TM)Ā The UC770CE is a top quality concert ukulele. It is made of meranti, a south-east Asian hardwood that resembles a slightly rougher mahogany. An elegant "scoopaway" recess makes it easier to reach the highest frets. A ukulele for both travel and home use.
Along with a JourneyTekĀ (TM)Ā ukulele gig bag and a passive piezo pickup becomes the UC770CEĀ one of the most travel-friendly ukuleles on the market. The bag is optimized for maximum protection of the instrument.

Journey is one of the few manufacturers that really focuses on travel-friendly instruments. This ukulele does not have a removable neck, like its guitar siblings, but it is still a travel-friendly ukulele. A slim head does more than you think for both size and weight. Then the construction and craftsmanship are robust, while the ukulele doesn't weigh that much. The bag that J-uke Meranti comes with is something really extra. It protects like a hard case but is at the same time so soft that you can easily carry it like a rucksack. There are also pockets and spaces for both songbooks, spare strings and other accessories.
