Mr Mai MM-A is built of koa with a neck of okume wood. The body is completely free of borders and similar inlays, apart from the discreet rosette which is laser engraved.

This makes the MM-A simple and elegant at the same time. Koa wood gives a warm and clear sound. A little duller and darker in sound compared to granlock for example.

The MM-A has a neck that is pleasant to play and that is well intoned.

Mr Mai is known for his design language and decorations, where you often think outside the box. But just as much for producing solid ukuleles that are nice to play and that sound good.

MM-A is among the least ornate models. Note that it is identical to the MA-30, except for the material. On the "body side" there is a simple rosette (ring around the sound hole), but that's all. No border, no inlay, just a solid mahogany soundboard.
The "neck and head part" has some simple but special decorations in the form of leaves and leaves. The special thing is that these can be found on both the fretboard and headstock. A seemingly small detail, but all the more effective for those who notice it.
