KNA UK-1 Passive pickup

With the Uk-1, you get as close to a built-in pickup as possible without sawing or drilling. UK-1 is passive, i.e. free of batteries and other electronics. The sound, the output signal from the UK-1 can therefore be experienced as slightly weaker than active microphone systems that may come pre-installed on other ukuleles.
The sound from the UK-1 sounds both natural and frankly unpolished. In practice, this means that the UK-1 does not sound better than the ukulele it is mounted on. This means, on the other hand, that if you have a ukulele that sounds good, the UK-1 will also sound good.

The UK-1 is specially designed for the ukulele. Ukuleles have traditionally had the same type of bridge, albeit in different variations, as found on Spanish acoustic guitars. UK-1 fits these stables. For other booths, such as peg booths and the like, we cannot guarantee that the UK-1 will fit. Ask us if you are unsure.

The UK-1 connects with an included cable that has a mini-tele plug on the "pickup" side and looks like a normal guitar cable on the other end. You connect this to a mixer, instrument amplifier, preamplifier or whatever you want.

The technology itself, piezo, is not new, but the performance and design of the microphones differ from other piezo microphones. The piezo element resembles a popsicle both in size, shape and not least in terms of material. This is attached to the stall and then held in place by the cords. The pickup then stays in place as long as the ukulele has its strings on. If you want to remove the pickup, just loosen the strings and then you can pull it out.

One of the really big advantages of this is that it doesn't affect the guitar/ukulele or the sound, which pretty much every other system does to some degree.
