The Half Round strings have a spinning of pure nickel, just like when they were introduced in the mid-70s. With a lightly polished surface reminiscent of the Chromes strings, but with an unpolished surface towards the core, which gives the tone the same character as an unpolished string. Since its introduction in 1976, many have tried to copy the Half Round strings, without being particularly successful.
