The MM-T is somewhere in the middle between Mr. Mai's simpler (and cheaper) tenor models and the more advanced ones. Here you will find glossy surfaces but not quite as much ornamentation as in the larger siblings.
The first thing you see is probably the rosette, the ring around the sound hole. It is wide and consists of "puzzle pieces" in many different colours. These colors go well with the koa top.

Mr Mai is known for his idiom and decorations, where you often think outside the box. But just as much to produce solid ukuleles that are nice to play and that sound good.
The MM-T is a beautiful ukulele without standing out too much. Koa wood is dark and elegant. The colors of the strong rosette go well with the dark case.
