The MB1 is Mahalo's only (acoustic) ukulele bass, as far as we know.
Perhaps they don't need more, because in the MB1 you'll find most of what you need, as a beginner and enthusiast.
The body is made of Nato wood. A wood that looks and has similar properties to mahogany.
There are black plastic inlays around the front and back of the bass, and a laser-engraved rosette around the soundhole. The neck is made of mahogany.
Together, these give the bass a traditional and neutral look.
The MB1 is in many ways a simple ukulele bass, in terms of playability, appearance and price, and could easily be seen as just another 'boring copy' of the original - but the preamp is a Shadow NFX EQ-T type. Which makes it something more.
The MB1 comes with a gig bag.
