Mr Mai is known for his idiom and decorations, where you often think outside the box. But just as much to produce solid ukuleles that are nice to play and that sound good.
In terms of design, the ML-T is not a traditional ukulele. Looking for a ukulele that blends in with other ukuleles? Then this is not for you. But if you want to stand out a little or if design is not an important topic - then you will find a very competent ukulele here.
It is very unusual to have 2 sound holes. There's a reason why traditional sound holes are where they are. At the same time, it is not possible, "with the naked ear", to hear that the odd sound hole solution distorts or changes the sound in any way.
It is also unusual to have so-called direct holes in the side. Especially on this side of the instrument – and also drop-shaped.
A little depending on how you hold your arm when you play, this works like any direct hole, that is, you as a player get part of the sound straight at you.
In terms of sound and playing, the ML-T is a perfectly normal, good ukulele, by Mr.mai standards. In addition to the bold design, there is a very comfortable neck, which can handle all possible playing styles. And an open and nice sound.
