The MM-C is somewhere in between Mr. Mai's simpler (and cheaper) models and the more advanced ones. Here you will find shiny surfaces but not as much ornamentation as on its larger siblings.
The first thing you probably notice is the rosette, the ring around the soundhole. It is wide and consists of "puzzle pieces" in many different colors. These colors match well with the koa top.

Mr Mai is known for his idiom and decorations, where you often think outside the box. But just as much to produce solid ukuleles that are nice to play and that sound good.
The MM-C is a beautiful ukulele without standing out too much. Koa wood is dark and elegant. The colors of the strong rosette go well with the dark case.

MM-C has a compensated seat. This in combination with a good, well-tuned neck gives you a good playing experience. From careful finger playing to powerful comp.
