There are very few mass-produced steel-string ukuleles on the market. There are probably many reasons for that.
A steel-string baritone ukulele bridges the gap between the ukulele and guitar worlds in a very exciting way.
This is not a ukulele for everyone. Many ukulele players will likely see no advantage or point to these strings at all.
It's common for a ukulele to be seen as a smaller sibling to a classical guitar. So, those who play classical guitar, with all that entails, practically get the ukulele "as part of the package." And vice versa, to some extent.
However, steel-string guitarists have no equivalent younger sibling. As nice as the ukulele is... there's a sound you don't always want.
