Solid Body Electric Acacia Tenor Ukulele

Kala has a collection of solid tenor ukuleles.
A type of ukulele that is slowly becoming more common on the market.
One guess is that the market was not ready for them before and that there has hardly been any demand for this type of ukulele.
And it is possible that its range of use is somewhat limited.

You get the most out of this type of ukulele when playing through amplifiers and/or various effects. Then you get a very clean, almost sterile sound that you can shape and influence to a much greater extent than you can with an acoustic ukulele. Not least, the problem of feedback is much smaller.

Do not confuse this type of ukulele with electric ukuleles. Because here we still have regular nylon strings and a so-called piezo pickup.
There are volume and tone controls on the front and a battery compartment on the back.

Otherwise, the ukulele is relatively similar to a regular ukulele. It is built mostly from Okoume. The top consists of acacia wood.
