This ukulele is among the items in Ortega's Tourplayer series. The instruments in this series are, as the name suggests, instruments that are well suited for travel.
The back and sides consist of one single piece of Okoume wood with a routed out cavity. The top is a separate piece of wood, made of spruce.
Aside from this and the lack of a traditional soundhole, the Ortega RTPS-U is a fairly traditional ukulele, with traditional details and shapes. Ortega has equipped the RTPS-U with a good preamp and microphone system and a high-quality gig bag.
