This ukulele is one of the items in Ortega's Tourplayer series. As the name suggests, the instruments in this series are well-suited for travel.
The back and sides consist of a single piece of Okoume wood with a routed hollow body. The top is a separate piece of wood, made of spruce.
Apart from this and the lack of a traditional soundhole, the Ortega RTPS-U is a fairly traditional ukulele, with traditional details and shapes. Ortega has equipped the RTPS-U with a good preamp and microphone system and a high-quality gig bag.
