Each individual string in an XT set is treated with D'Addario's protective micro-coating. A super-thin surface treatment that effectively repels dirt and sweat. XT strings last 4 times longer than traditional uncoated strings, without affecting the tone or feel that D'Addario's strings have become known for. D'Addario's unique carbon steel core, in combination with a strong ball-end anchorage, known as Fusion Twist Technology, provides a string with unsurpassed strength and significantly better tuning stability than ordinary strings.
